Super Cuts

It has been a whopping NINE weeks since their last new 'do. What have I been doing?

No wonder the boys have big smiles. They can finally see straight ahead without blowing hair out of their faces.

First Week of School

And the verdict is in.
They love it!

Of course, you couldn't really predict their fondness of this Montessori school, though, given the boys' attitudes walking into the building on Tuesday.

I wasn't there (which was probably a good thing). Doug was. He said Jason was fine. Walked right in with no problems. As to be expected, Michael didn't appreciate another new place to have to get used to.

I arrived early to pick up the boys, and big mistake, went to look in the window to see Michael. He was fine, but the moment he saw me, he started howling. And if you have ever heard Michael howl, you'll know, it's something to be reckoned with. He did such a good job, that other children in his class started to follow him.

Since then, the boys have no problems heading into school, and they have big smiles when they walk out. What a relief!

More from Hilton Head

Our surfside vacation seems like such a long time ago. We are immersed, totally, in school right now. But, we still have some lovely pictures to share from our trip to South Carolina, thanks to Grandpa/Photographer Extraordinaire.

One night there, we decided to pay a visit to the beach at night. Good decision. Just a beautiful time to run/walk the beach and see the beauty.

A rare moment of calm for our little Michael.

And what seems to be a pattern with big Jason. He's running at everything full-speed. Thank goodness he is getting over his fear of the water. We start swimming lessons again on Monday, so he doesn't get it back!

End of Summer

Boy, has it been a while.
I almost forgot how to get back in the system.
The summer has really flown by.

We're getting ready to send both Jason and Michael to pre-school. That has kept us incredibly busy, although I know it's nothing compared to our friends who are each celebrating the arrival of #2. Congratulations to Lisa and Michelle, the proud parents of new boys!!!!

It might seem odd to leave one beach to go to another. But, that is exactly what we did. We recently spent a week at Hilton Head, South Carolina.
And, we had plenty of visitors!

Take a look--

The boys were beside themselves with excitement. Not just Mommy and Daddy to hang out with, but Grandma, Grandpa, Amah and Akong.

It really was a fantastic trip.
We ate out and played putt-putt quite a bit. It's the beach, after all.

Of course, we paid a visit to the beach, to see how it stacks up. Not bad.

We hung out at our pad, a three-bedroom villa that had a pool and nice furniture....and a putting green!
Every time Jason got up to putt, we'd silently say, "Tiger, Tiger, Tiger." Hey, we can only dream.

I have plenty of other pictures to share, those are on my other computer. Grandpa/ace photographer captured those. More great pics from our trip to come.
Meanwhile, our next adventure is school, which starts tomorrow! Stay tuned!
