A mouthful

Joshua has been babbling up a storm lately, and sometimes, out of the jumble of sounds coming out of his mouth, sometimes we can understand what he has to stay.

He has been saying "mama" for a while now.

Just this week, though, an explosion of "words."

He screamed out "ONE!" the other day, I said, "two," and he finished with "three."

And, something that sounded so much like "apple" came out of his mouth at dinner last night. We happened to be pointing to an apple at the time. Coincidence? I think not.

He has an inquisitive mind, too. Joshua often points to something and then looks at us. "Whah wha?" In my mind, he is saying, "What is this?" or "What's that?"

The other day he pulled some blocks out of his room, pulled up to the stairs, and started building. That left us saying, "What is that?"

Then, a few minutes later, he decided he was tired. So he pulled a blanket over to the corner, sat on the floor, and put his head down on a blanket.

It has been a busy week!

Thanks so much for my birthday wishes and presents!!!

We love you!!!
